The Ash, Birch & Willow tradition is based upon the ancient beliefs and practices of our ancestors, and is adapted to the needs of a modern generation. Therefore the tradition is ever ancient and ever new.
The format of this tradition is representative of the European paganism of ancient lands. Therefore it is not restricted to any specific cultural tradition such as Celtic, Germanic, French, Italian, or Greek. Instead the tradition reflects the core commonality of beliefs and practices reflected in all European pagan cultures.
Many people believe that divination, prognostication, fortune telling, or consulting the oracle is somehow mysterious and arcane, limited to a few psychic souls who have the power of foresight. Not so. Everyone has an intuitive ability, but some have developed it more strongly. It is the ability to be free with one’s imagination (to take the fanciful seriously) that is the secret to “reading the leaves.” But any object can be the “leaves.” Tarot cards, runes, the pendulum, and other objects are only meant to help focus attention in order to sharpen your intuition. And intuition is directed imagination, where a on the wall, dust on the floor, and the pattern of sunlight moving through branches on a tree all “speak from beyond.” Spirit uses these ordinarily overlooked commonalities to construct a meaning from your “sixth sense” that rings true to the circumstances that concern you.
In this class we will practice some imaginative exercises to help free us from expectations of what everyday objects are “supposed” to mean. We will open to that creative energy (artists call it the muse) which leads us to make patterns in what we usually assume to have none. (The mind naturally does this; what is not so often acknowledged is that the mind does this with purpose and according to our inner needs and circumstances.)
You are invited to bring in a favorite object or two—or nothing at all. We will practice with these things, or by using what is immediately around us in the classroom. Anything—yes, anything and everything—can speak.

Prosperity is something that everyone desires, but many find it to be elusive. However, it is within all of us to attract abundance into our lives. In this workshop, we will discuss the meaning of prosperity, various magical (and some practical) techniques to attract it, and how to maintain it throughout our lives.
Dolls have been a part of life since prehistoric times. Made from any number of primitive materials, dolls were used as playthings, religious figures and magical objects. The creation and use of Goddess and God dolls are a positive way to carry forward the ancient and honored energy of the doll into current day life. In this class participants will learn about the history of dolls and the creation and use of God and Goddess dolls. Each student will create his or her own God/Goddess doll and imbue it with individually chosen attributes. Everyone will take home a personally filled and decorated God or Goddess doll for use in personal practice.

Newcomers to astrology often learn its fundamentals in a mathematical "this equals this" sequence starting with signs, then moving on to planets, aspects, houses and the myriad other things that can too easily convince the student that reading one's own natal horoscope (birth chart) is about as easy as tying one's shoes while bungee jumping.
In this workshop, we instead activate our own intuition to read the stories of the stars as they're elicited from the unique patterns of the natal chart. Like snowflakes, no two charts are alike, and with this foundation--and as it relates directly to your own life--we will learn the elements of astrology.
