Below is a box carved of Oak wood used to store Ritual Tools which can also be used as a small altar. On it are carved representation of the four elements, with the top carvings of the Sun, the Tree of Life, and the Moon respectively. This box was filled with all the supplies needed to perform a ritual (hand rolled magickal candles, oils incense, a wand, an athame, incense burner,etc) and donated as a door prize drawing at San Diego's Witches Night Out, an event run by the Calafia Council of Covenant of the Goddess, a non profit organization. Money raised from the sale of tickets for the door prize drawing went to a sholarship fund for needy pagan students.
Oak is the Ancient tree of druids and one of the fairy triad (along with Ash & Thorn). It embodies great wisdom and strength due to the tree's longevity. The Oak is the tree of endurance and triumph and embodies truth, steadfast knowledge, and protection. It is also a wood of sacrifice; the guardian and liberator. Oak is used in spells for strength, endurance, power, triumph, dominion, prosperity, fertility & abundance, lust and stamina.
