This Wand was custom created for a customer who has a deep connection to trees and is particularly drawn to the Rowan. The beautiful darker pattern in the handle was created by leaving a small amount of the underbark intact. The leaf carving is in the actual shape of Rowan leaves and is lightly stained for the green effect. There is no other staining used on the Wand, all the color variations are the natural patterns of the wood.
Rowan enhances originality, free-thinking, psychic ability, love and understanding. It is especially suited for magick giving form and order, ritual, growth, fertility, protection, women's autonomy, poetry, weaving and spinning, and geomancy or work with ley lines. It is a tree of astral vision and protection, particularly good for warding off evil spirits and is traditionally said to avert storms and lightning, and bring peace. It is also used as a psychic enhancer, for healing magic, for divination, astral work, and control of the senses from enchantment and beguiling. It is said to bear the power of the Dark Goddess, the crone aspect of Mother Earth ñ who is considered the enemy of all evil witchery. Hence itís protective and warding nature which according to the lore protects against one being carried off to Faerie against one's will.
