This wand is hand-crafted by Tree of Life’s exclusive Wood-Carver from a small branch of Blackthorn Wood - you can see he left a patch of the bark on the handle to showcase it’s beauty. The wood was imported from an English Witch who sustainably harvests branches from trees in her garden in the South of Devon in England.
Blackthorn provides extremely strong protection, especially of the home and can be used to deter unwanted visitors, be they corporeal or otherwise. It protects from malevolent magick, as it returns evil to the sender - thus it should be used carefully with integrity and love. Wands or staffs made of Blackthorn possess great power and are also excellent for magick involving manifesting one's intent (wishes). It is also known as Quickthorn or Sloe. Due to it's hugely protective and evil repelling nature, it has also been used in exorcism. Blackthorn, when it appears mystically or in dreams, indicates strong action of fate or outside influences that must be obeyed. Due to it’s great strength, novices should not attempt to work magick with Blackthorn, perhaps keeping this wand ornamentally until they are adept.
